Yorkshire Sculpture Park expands

Yorkshire Sculpture ParkOne of the top Yorkshire Attractions, the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, has been expanded, with a further 150 acres of woodland now open to the public.

This extra land at the West Bretton Park includes footpaths, bridges and lakes and is thanks to a £500,000 restoration project, started in 2010, which has taken almost a year to complete.

The additional 150 acres meant that the whole of the 500 acres of park land at the estate is now accessible.

The park first opened in 1977 and enjoys over 250,000 visitors a year, who will now be able to enjoy the new summer house, boat house and grotto.

To celebrate the opening of the extra land at the park this Saturday, the park will be host to a weekend of events.

The Yorkshire Sculpture Park is included in the special offers you receive with your Yorkshire Pass and allows you to receive a free parking permit when you pay for entry to the park.
