York Minster celebrates the Royal Wedding

York MinsterA trip to York simply would not be complete without a visit to the spectacular York Minster.

This spring, 13th April – 11th May, join us at the York Minster to celebrate the Royal Wedding. The Minster will be holding and exhibition in the Undercroft covering the royal history of the cathedral.

The event will provide an excellent chance to get an insight into royal weddings in the past, including the only ever marriage of an English King back in 1328, along with the more current royal marriage between Duke and Duchess of Kent.

In addition to the Royal spin the exhibition will also detail the history of marriage through the ages and its importance in modern day society.

Visiting the exhibition also gives a great chance to explore the Minster itself and experience some of the impressive views of this magnificent example of medieval gothic architecture, and while in the area why not also take some time out in York where you can use your Yorkshire Pass to visit other York Attractions.
