If you are heading to York this weekend then you are in for a treat; the Battlegroup North event is being held at the Yorkshire Air Museum on the 7th and 8th of May.
This unique weekend combines three fantastic themes into one packed event, starting with the ‘Wings and Wheels’ show from the Yorkshire Military Vehicle Trust. You’ll get to see around 200 historic military vehicles, including trucks, half-tracks and even a few tanks!
Also at the event will be the Wargaming Show. Here you will find battle scenarios displayed in detailed and intricate model form. Participation games will be held for the kids so that they can join in and enjoy this fantastic family day out.
The third element of the show is the Living History displays. These show off wartime uniforms, kit and costumes. You can really delve into the history of the era with these fascinating displays.
