A group of lucky school children visiting the top Yorkshire Attraction the Yorkshire Air Museum will get a rare treat this June, an iconic spitfire will fly over the grounds during their visit.
This exciting appearance is occurring on 9th of June due to the students attending a special education activity day. The event will have a Second World War theme and feature plenty of educational workshops and activities to aid the students learning about the period.
To help get into the spirit the staff and students will dress up in outfits inspired by the era and each will be given evacuee identification tags.
The event is being sponsored by Sheppe International and the Spitfire is being supplied by the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.
