Fans of Jimi Hendrix heading to Yorkshire will be pleased to hear a new exhibition of photographs of the American musician will be on display at RedHouse Originals in Harrogate.
‘The Experience: Jimi Hendrix at Mason’s Yard’ opens today (29th July) and the photographer who took the wonderful pictures, Gered Mankowitz, will be in attendance.
Gered took the photos with Hendrix in London in 1967 and this exhibition is a great chance to see his photographs. The whole gallery will be dedicated to the exhibition and fans will be able to see the prints as well as art pieces based on the images.
The exhibition is being organised in conjunction with the Harrogate International Fringe Festival and will be held until August 28th before heading off to the Far East next year.
Entry to RedHouse Originals is not included with the Yorkshire Pass, but there are plenty of great Yorkshire attractions in and around Harrogate that you could tie in with a visit to the exhibition, including the Royal Pump Room museum and RHS Garden Harlow Carr.
