Explore the past at the York Roman Festival

    York Roman FestivalIf you are heading to the city of York with Yorkshire Pass later this month, then you are in for a historical treat as the York Roman Festival is being held from the 18th to the 19th of June.

    This public celebration is held for the residents and visitors to York to showcase the rich history of the city during the Roman occupation.

    A living history camp will be erected close to York Minster at Grays Court where talks and displays will be held on subjects including medicine, weapons and religion as well as some kid friendly activities.

    During Saturday there will be a fantastic parade that will travel through the heart of the city culminating with a ceremony at the statue of Constantine.
