Come and unlock the splendour within York’s premier Georgian historic house.

A classical architectural masterpiece of its age, Fairfax House was originally the winter home of Viscount Fairfax. Restored to its former glory in 1984, it now enjoys a reputation as one of the most distinguished townhouses in Britain. Its richly decorated interior is filled with the famous Terry collection of furniture and clocks. Today Fairfax House once more transports you to the grandeur of city-living in 18th century York.
